Koranindopos.com – Jakarta. Badan Pelindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BP2MI) menargetkan penempatan 3 ribu pekerja migran Indonesia (PMI) di luar negeri tahun ini. Kepala BP2MI Benny Ramdhani optimistis target tersebut segera terealisasi.
Benny menjelaskan, sampai saat ini, sejak Januari – Juni 2024, BP2MI telah memberangkatkan 158.000 PMI untuk semua skema penempatan. ”Total PMI di tahun 2024 sampai bulan Juni ini untuk skema G to G (government to government, red) kurang lebih di angka 4.750 PMI,” ungkap Benny saat sambutan pelepasan 99 PMI ke Korea Selatan di El Royal Hotel, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta Utara, Minggu (30/6/2024).
Kali ini, sambung Benny, pihaknya melepas 99 PMI ke Korea Selatan. Jumlah tersebut terbagi atas 90 PMI ke sektor manufaktur, 9 PMI ke sektor ship building (pembuatan kapal, red). ”PMI harus memilki mental kuat karena ada di negara orang lain. Dan menunjukkan attitude karena datang dari negara besar yang dikenal memiliki budi pekerti dan adat istiadat.
